The Mission of COLMUJER FOUNDATION

We are a nonprofit social organization dedicated to educate poor women, in fact our complete name is "Foundation Woman, Head of Family of Colombia"

We teach assistance of Patients at home, Assistance of the Elderly or Children at home and some varieties of Crafts like Ribbon Embroideries, Decoration with Flowers, etc ...

The objective is that these poor women can earn wages or money serving to richer people or selling their crafts.

We have a very beautiful big house located close to many poor families. The house is owned by our friends and relatives of this city ( Medellin, Colombia ).

We don´t have to pay rent, but we have many expenses like utilities and services ( water, electricity, phone, internet, cable tv, etc ...) ... We have to pay many taxes.

My husband Vicente and me manage the house and resources. We also have a store that sells "seconds", that is a "thrift store" selling used things, specially clothing and shoes.

Some local entrepreneurs help us with new clothes and shoes that are outmoded or old fashioned and have been difficult to sell at their stores and factories. Also "imperfect goods".

We have to overcome many difficulties to help the poor.
